New cybersecurity tool for small businesses
The National Cyber Security Centre has launched a free online tool to help small businesses assess how resilient they are to cyberattacks. The ‘Exercise in a Box’ tool provides exercises based on the main cyber-threats and enables users to assess how they would respond to an attack.

Extra funding for high-growth business
High-growth businesses will benefit from a further £200 million of government support to ensure that they can access the finance they need to grow. The funding will be provided by funds supported by the British Business Bank and will replace some of the finance currently provided via the European Investment Fund.

HMRC extends deadline for funding of customs training
HMRC has confirmed that the application deadline for funding to help importers and exporters prepare for the UK leaving the EU has been extended to 31 May 2019. The funding will help meet the costs associated with employee training and IT improvements for traders and customs intermediaries who currently complete customs declarations or will be using them in the future.

Government Announces £200m for UK Businesses to Prosper Beyond Brexit
Innovative businesses across the country are set to benefit from a further £200 million of government support to ensure they can access the finance they need to grow when the UK departs the EU this year.
After Brexit, the relationship with the European Investment Fund will change and the government says it is committed to ensuring that innovative firms can flourish.
