2018 South West Skills Conference
The 2018 South West Skills Conference is taking place on 19th Jan 2018 in Bridgwater and is now open for registrations.
The Conference will focus on the benefits of apprenticeships, investing in the workforce and the role that effective leadership and management plays in widening the talent pool through improved recruitment/retention.
The conference is supported by Anne Milton Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills and Minister for Women and will include key note speakers and interactive Q&A panel discussions.
Delegates will have the opportunity to influence key activity to take forward across the South West in relation to employment and skills.

Innovate UK are coming to Exeter to bring innovation to the South West with their event: Beyond the business as usual.

Calling all Somerset Social Enterprises!
The Somerset Social Entrepreneurs Development programme 2018 is now open for applications.
The programme is aimed specifically at existing social enterprises and community organisations operating in Somerset who want to become more entrepreneurial and increase their trading revenue.
The programme will run from February to May 2018 and all information on how to apply can be found here.
Also, there is a 3-Day Intensive course for Start Ups in the Devon & Somerset region. This is a three-day introduction to social enterprise is for anyone with a social enterprise idea or in early stages and will give an introduction to starting and setting up a social business.
