Somerset Chamber of Commerce is a membership-based business support organisation which promotes and lobbies for business development in Somerset. Established in 1994, the Somerset Chamber works hard to support local businesses. Combined with local Town Chambers, the Somerset Chamber represent over 2000 businesses across Somerset.
Membership gives you the opportunity to forge new alliances with customers and suppliers, and the chance to promote your business countywide and nationally. Whatever the size of your business, the Chamber can help. There are experts to help you develop your business, reduce costs and assist you to reach your business goals. With over 600 business members, there is a wide variety of people to connect with.
Somerset Chamber hosts more than 60 events each year, ranging from Breakfasts to Golf Days. They also run Business-to-Business Dinners and host the annual Somerset Business Awards – a very prestigious night out! TDA is a headline sponsor of one of the awards. These events give you the chance to promote your business to interested parties, but also to gain knowledge about topics of interest to you and your business.
There is also Somerset Voice – a print & online magazine distributed free to members, highlighting the great things happening in our county. As well as this the Chamber is very active in other press publications and social media platforms.
There is a dedicated team working on the Hinkley Point C supply chain, helping local businesses to engage with EDF Energy and providing a link between South West suppliers and the project management team.
